The Music Vault is a Christian/Positive influence heavy music database. This system was designed and developed by solid and its content is managed by a team of people known as Vault Managers.
It has been online since 2002, though a large portion of its data was lost in 2006. In August of 2009 the Vault was added to The Untombed Network due to the closure of the Firestream forum. We work very hard to continually update and manage the vault so that it can stay up-to-date. If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to use the form at the bottom of any page in the Vault. Thanks!
Central theme, the most important thing
Central theme, the tie that binds together
Central theme, every line is breathing
Central theme, another heart receiving
Shining in the center, my Lord in the center
Jesus in the center, revolving around Him
Always revolving around Him
Solar screams, I am nothing
Vibrations under the rings, how great you are
Moon like a gong, how great you are
Central theme, the object of affection
Central theme, the core of our perfection
Central theme, moving upward in direction
Central theme, changing musical conceptions
Shining in the center, my Lord in the center
Jesus in the center, revolving around Him
Always revolving around Him
Infinite space, I am nothing
Infant moves in the womb, how great you are
Wind and sea, I am nothing
Ghost of the heart, how great you are
Solar screams, I am nothing
Vibrations under the rings, how great you are
Moon like a gong, how great you are
Who is on the throne you find, the King of Kings
He's the one I have in mind, the central theme
Lord of Lords, Lord of lords, Lord of Lords
Beam it on the satellite, send it through the T.V.
Get it on the play list, preach it to the masses
I want the big time, it's not for everyone
I want the long line, to tell them what I've done
Give me a bullhorn, I'll help Your kingdom come
I get all this, and heaven when I'm done
Why stop with the little things, wires cross the continents
The moment of conversion, on the cover of my album
I want the big time, it's not for everyone
I want the long line, to tell them what I've done
Give me a bullhorn, I'll help Your kingdom come
I get all this, and heaven when I'm done
Heard some talk about the big big big big big deal
Can't wait, moving on, can't wait, moving on
Lawyers talking 'bout the long long long long
long long long long contract
Five years, how long?, sign here, moving on
Send a tape to Carson, got a date in Vegas
Start a church in LA., billboard off the freeway
I want the big time, it's not for everyone
I want the long line, to tell them what I've done
Give me a bullhorn, I'll help Your kingdom come
I get all this, and heaven when I'm done
I want the big time, I want the long line
Give me a bullhorn, I get all this, and heaven when I'm done
Down to the city on a country road I roll
I let her know
I'd be coming soon
I picture her in a flowered dress and hat
I really like that
I'll have to tell her so
The people gonna' love it when we walk off holding hands
They like happy ends
Maybe life's that way
The sun is shining in the big blue sky
It's a turned down day
When he gets to whistlin' like the birds up high
He could fly away
When the curtain comes down I'll pack my things and go
That's not in the show
But it's part of the play
All the little men they come and put away the sun
And the big blue sky
In the world outside he'll watch'em draw the curtain
And hear the night say "Hi"
I wave to the people but the wind just blows them down
On the paper ground
They still smile
I live in my room, it's warm here in my room
World is spinning, spinning like a big top
I have got a secret, I will slip it
Under the door, slip it to this wicked wicked world
I read in my room, memorize in my room
I am removing myself, I am moving quietly
Those without the secret, keep on knocking
At the door, disturbance from this wicked wicked world
There's many little rooms, with people like me
We often get together, in a bigger room
We harmonize, we harmonize
We know it's real, we know it's real
I sleep in my room, it's dark now in my room
Time is ticking, ticking on the big clock
It's raining outside, heaven's tears
Are falling down, falling on this wicked wicked world
I live in my room, I live in my room
I live in my room, I live in my room
I live in my room
I go to work I work hard, I do come home exhausted
I go to sleep quite early, lights off and I roll over
Nice and keeping warm, the morning comes too soon
All is well and it's O.K., till I hear the bell and I say
"My little breakfast is a little bit of hell"
For they got their faces to the window
Pressin' their faces to the window
Little bitty beggars with the great big eyes
I turn the channel but to my surprise
They still press their faces to the, window
I go to church each sunday, I go to lovely picnics
I say my prayers at bedtime, I try to be a witness
I lose a little sleep, but I whistle while I make my bed
The summer sun is shining, in clouds a silver lining
Why do I find I'm shouting, "When is Thy kingdom coming?"
Got their faces to the window
Pressin' their faces to the window
Little bitty beggars with the great big eyes
I turn the channel but to my surprise
They still press their faces to the window
I go to work I work hard, I do come home exhausted
I go to sleep quite early, lights off and I roll over
Nice and keeping warm, the morning comes too soon
All is well and it's O.K., till I hear the bell and I say
"My little breakfast is a little bit of hell"
For they got their faces to the window
Pressin' their faces to the window
Little bitty beggars with the great big eyes
I turn the channel but to my surprise
They still press their faces to the
They still press their faces to the window
They still press their faces to the
They still press their faces to the window
Disguising shadows are concealers
Of traitors spies and double dealers
In the street somebody staggers
Killed again with cloak and dagger
If somebody tells you that their love is true
Don't believe it if they hold a gun to you
There's cold war tactics hidden in a smiling face
A pretty kind of poison that will leave no trace
Disguising shadows are concealers
Of traitors spies and double dealers
In the street somebody staggers
Killed again with cloak and dagger
If somebody tells you 'bout the master plan
Don't believe it if they got the bloody hands
Secret agents masked in plastic moulded smiles
Wolves that stalk the innocent and trusting child
Disguising shadows are concealers
Of traitors spies and double dealers
In the street somebody staggers
Killed again with cloak and dagger
You might not recognize, the truth gets colored by
Wrong things, bad things do disguise
Afraid you might despise the real thing
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
Down in southern cal we don't wear shoes
We lay it way back
When someone with charisma tells me "Don't wear shoes"
I tell them "Go back where did you get that?"
You might not recognize, the truth gets colored by
Wrong things, bad things do disguise
Afraid you might despise the real thing
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
Down in Africa they beat the drum
They like the big beat
White man through the P.A. says "Don't beat that drum"
They tell him "Go back, where does it say that?"
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
Down at the little church they all wear hats
They feel they're doing right
Over at the big church they hate those hats
It get's them uptight now is that right?
You might not recognize, the truth gets colored by
Wrong things, bad things do disguise
Afraid you might despise the real thing
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
The real thing whoa-oh
You're speeding, you're going, running everywhere
Can't tell you in person, I'll tell you on the air
I get to tell you, a chance to tell you
Through the speakers, through the speakers
How can I love you, I do the best I can
Through the speakers, through the speakers
Left and right, the killers, crazed in stereo
Their words are, like bullets, from the radio
I want to warn you, a chance to reach you
Through the speakers, through the speakers
How can I stop you, I do the best I can
Through the speakers, through the speakers
The grater power is gonna have to say what can't be said
The deeper power is gonna climb like magic, to your head
Into your heart
There's buzzing, there's static, someone's on the line
Will d.j.'s be playing this a second time?
I better tell you, Jesus says He loves you
Through the speakers, through the speakers
Maybe one chance to, do the best I can
Through the speakers, through the speakers
F-f-f-f-fade away, who will get the final say?
Through the speakers, through the speakers
I hit them too hard
I did it with a book
He had to take another look when I hit them with love
Love for their heart
Respect for the mind
She said "yes" this time
When I hit her with love
Lonely lonely lonely hearts
Need tenderness
Giv'em giv'em giv'em your love
Your very best
Words have their place
But live what you say
God can have his way
When you hit them with love
Lonely lonely lonely hearts
Need tenderness
Giv'em giv'em giv'em your love
Your very best
Words have their place
But live what you say
God can have his way
When you hit them with love
Hit them with love
Words have their place
Hit them with love
But live what you say
Hit them with love
Words have their place
Hit them with love
But live what you say
Hit them with love
She was so sweet once she was innocent
Now she's a cribcase it's all very disgusting
She fell in love but she fell out again
She cries for her milk when she should be eating
She's helpless, she plays the baby game
She plays the baby game, she plays the baby game
She's going nowhere, she's staying the same
Little birds are helpless way up in the tree
They cry for mother almost constantly
But little birds must one day take their wing
I told her this she threw her rattle at me
She's helpless, she plays the baby game
She plays the baby game, she plays the baby game
She's going nowhere, she's staying the same
She keeps on crying, it should be for shame
Talks her gibberish, can't say her name
No direction purpose or aim
When she ought to be walking, she's acting so lame
She plays the baby game, she plays the baby game
She plays the baby game
I'll do my best I'll let her lean on me
With some encouragement maybe I'll reach her
I can still love her treat her tenderly
I'll take it slowly there's so much to teach her
She plays the baby game, she plays the baby game
She plays the baby game
Surfer boys, surfer girls
And all those hoping to catch that ultimate wave
We were looking for an endless summer
We're still looking for an endless summer
It's no surprise will be looking endlessly
Surf and sand, eternal tan
We've paid the price in looking twice our age
We were looking for an endless summer
We're still looking for an endless summer
It's no surprise will be looking endlessly
And we had to get to surf city
But we'll tell you man it's just drag city
We won't come back from dead man's curve
Way back in my heart, is the motive for this
I ask the question, did I do it for self?
I need the light on, the monster of vanity gets
Frightened by the Ghost of the heart
An observation, that's pertinent to
The subject which I want to address is
When I seek the kingdom, the master of disguises gets
Frightened by the Ghost of the heart
Shed the light on, shed the light on me
Oh no who is that? Oh no it's me
It's gonna leave you in the dust
I'm going down
It's gonna leave you in the rough
I'm crawling 'round
It's gonna leave you in the dust
It'll leave me in His hands
It's gonna leave you in the rough
It'll leave me in His hands
And in conclusion, when I stand alone and
I'm asked the question, did I do it for self?
Can I then answer, the demon of hatred was
Frightened by the Ghost of the heart
Frightened by the Ghost of the heart
Frightened by the Ghost of the heart
By GloriousDregs (08/26/2005 2:17:35 pm): The first part of the Alarma Chronicles. Fantastic new wave flavored rock with punk influences. The new wave hadn't overpowered their sound yet.
By vja4Him (12/07/2005 7:30:44 pm): Alarma! Yeah, awesome man!! Keep rockin' with Daniel Amos!!!
By metalmister777 (02/03/2006 5:41:36 am): Got this on lp, decent. Not as great as the latter releases like Darn Floor and Fearful Symmetry
By MetalFRO (02/01/2007 11:48:15 am): My fav DA album, I actually own this one one vinyl. I bought it used several years ago & couldn't pass up the opportunity when I saw it. DA goes from a trippy, hard rock sound squarely into New Wave here, to great effect. As influential as Horrendous Disc was on the Christian Rock scene, I think Alarma! is a stronger album. "Central Theme", "Alarma!", "My Room", "Faces To The Window", and "Through The Speakers" are all excellent tracks. Glad I finally have this one on my iPod so I don't have to drag out the turntable any more.
