The Music Vault is a Christian/Positive influence heavy music database. This system was designed and developed by solid and its content is managed by a team of people known as Vault Managers.
It has been online since 2002, though a large portion of its data was lost in 2006. In August of 2009 the Vault was added to The Untombed Network due to the closure of the Firestream forum. We work very hard to continually update and manage the vault so that it can stay up-to-date. If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to use the form at the bottom of any page in the Vault. Thanks!
Whitecross was formed in 1986 by Rex Carroll and Scott Wenzel. Whitecross release their self-titled debut album "Whitecross" on Pure Metal in 1987. Songs like "Enough is Enough", "Who Will You Follow", and the popular "Nagasaki" guitar solo by Rex Carroll would bring life to the fast growing scene of Christian Rock and Christian Heavy Metal. Whitecross with is ripping guitar work and solid vocals was often compared to the popular main-stream group RATT.
Whitecross followed their debut recording with the EP "Love on the Line" in 1988, "Hammer & Nail" in 1988 and "Triumphant Return" in 1989. Star Song bought the Pure Metal label and the duo of Scott Wenzel and Rex Carroll would create two more albums together. White Cross-In the Kingdom in 1991 and White Cross-High Gear in 1992. The Dove Award winning Whitecross who travel with notable groups such as Stryper, Steve Taylor and others would never be the same again. Rex Carroll the guitar mastermind, songwriter and producer behind the band Whitecross would leave in 1992 to pursue a solo album entitled Rex Carroll-The Session. Rex also went on to form the band King James with front man Jimi Bennett and 2 former members of Stryper, Tim Gaines and Robert Sweet. Scott went on to make a solo album as well as other other Whitecross albums; "Unveiled", "Equilibrium", "Flytrap", "One More Encore".

By wolf (2008-08-08 05:03:13): where is "1987" the last album?
it his a headjob
By Torch & Sword (2008-12-20 12:33:26): I guess the whole "look down on Christians" is to be expected from a world viewpoint. I will never understand how anyone could think that Whitecross doesn't blow Ratt out of the water. Scott's voice and better, and Rex's guitar work is far superior. Whitecross songs are better written, and the message is far better. These guys are second wave legends in the Christian metal circuit.
By oldschooldoom (2009-02-14 19:26:33): Does anyone know what became of the bassist Butch Dillion?
By oldschooldoom (2009-05-02 07:04:42): Their name was inspired by the text Is 1:18
By konnan (2009-09-16 19:40:22): Whitecross is in my top 10 bands of all-time. But, as a ex-RATT expert, I have to say that Rex's solo's are better than RATT's, but nobody EVER has had more hooks than RATT.
By oldschooldoom (2009-09-28 06:59:32): One of Christian metal's Big Five:
