Believer - Sanity Obscure
By typhoeus (04/23/2010 2:17:03 pm)
Very good thrash metal. Not as good as Extraction, but then, how many albums are? Standout tracks are Sanity Obscure, Nonpoint, Idols of Ignorance, and Dust to Dust. Now, I do like Dies Irae, because it is an excellent blending of classical music and thrash metal. However, it is, to me, a sad pre-cursor to their next album, Dimensions. I know I'm about to make some people mad, but I just dislike the direction they took on that album, with the slower tempos, the overly technical playing, and the generally more progressive direction. Anyway, this album is still thrashin', so if you can, get it.

Mission of Christ - Silence in Grave

Killer Thrash metal! If it is possible to re-master and re-release it, you can count on me to buy it!

VARIOUS - Divine Metal Distro Digital Sampler Vol. 1
By typhoeus (04/11/2010 3:59:28 pm)
This is a great FREE sampler. I was actually impressed by the Hortor song, even though I don't normally like Black Metal. The I Built The Cross song caught my attention also. Because of this sampler, I got their debut album, along with Heaven's Force's Aggressive Angel. The Thresher song is very cool; I find myself singing the chorus after hearing it. And, of course, the Ultimatum song rocks. Final verdict: It's free, get it! You may find some new music to love!

VARIOUS - ARGH!
By typhoeus (04/11/2010 3:51:48 pm)
I paid $10 for this just to have Progressive Change! Actually, the Minier song is great too. The Believer remix is interesting, but is not going on any playlists. I already had the Sacrament song. Everything else is a yawn for me.

The Lead - The Past Behind
By typhoeus (04/11/2010 3:45:29 pm)
It's available for free download at area1234. Really nice hardcore punk. Very fast! Is it speed for speed's sake? Yes, and I love it!
