It should also be noted that Joe Satriani released an instrumental album called "The Extremist" about this same time with very similar cover art (smokey, tan color) and some of the same studio musicians (Greg & Matt Bissonette). Good stuff. I liked the first one more but this was worth the effort and had value, especially upon repeated listens. Some great playing

Lanny at his best!

I had this cassette about 13 years ago and for the life of me I dont remember what happened to it. I do remember there was only a couple songs on this that I liked but I was much more narrow minded musically back then. This is probably his best album, I can dig most of whats on this and even appreciate the rest for what it is:a great guitarist breaking out of the mold of the usual heavy metal and doing whatever he darn well wants to do and I give him props for that.

More accessible than EWAS, but then so is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's bedroom.

Everything Lanny does gets 5* from me. Musically, that is... I don't go searching ebay for his used contact lenses or anything like that. Yet.
