Today Forever

In the middle of Germany, greatness has come to fruition: Within just a few short years, TODAY FOREVER from Kassel have become the (!) hot German insider tip in melodic hardcore. The release of their debut album „the new pathetic“ by the renowned US-Label STRIKE FIRST (FACEDOWN RECORDS) and a following 5-week tour all across the states is a clear indication that both their attitude and their craftsmanship are top quality. Venturing beyond well-worn hardcore trails and faceless emo-rock uniformity, the quintet achieves sustained results by relying on their own imprint. Abrasiveness and catchiness are not mutually exclusive in the music of TODAY FOREVER. In the interaction of these two elements, dynamic and emotionally charged hymns emerge, between hardcore, rock and a bit of metal.

The musical foundation of this five piece is composed of emotionally colored new school hardcore, that has been expanded to include intensive mosh parts and incisive choruses. With a strong sense of independence and name recognition, and with the experience achieved by more than 200 shows, TODAY FOREVER is self-confident and poised. The material for their second long player reflects that: It’s catchy pop music, without being slick or arbitrary. An energized tempo and musical abrasiveness remains, and yet the hymn factor has been expanded without constraint.

TODAY FOREVER recorded the songs for their second yet untitled long player in early 2008 in the KOHLEKELLER STUDIO (among others: The Blackout Argument, Final Prayer, A Traitor Like Judas, Six Reasons to Kill, Bleed Into One). These guys from Kassel emphasize their pop appeal and set weighty contrasts in the form of wild scream attacks and brute hardcore breakouts.

Thanks to the broad and dynamically variable arrangement of the new tracks, the number of potential listeners has expanded enormously. TODAY FOREVER appeal to the fans of bands from the scene, such as Silverstein, Comeback Kid, Snapcase or Unbroken, as well as fans of mainstream groups such as Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco or Underoath. The sky is the limit!
